Our Story

Hello fellow pet lovers! I’m Megan, and alongside my husband, Doran, I proudly run Here Comes the Floof, a wedding pet care company. Our love for animals has been a constant in our lives—from growing up with our childhood pets, to adopting our first dog together, Ruby.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve dedicated my career
to working with animals. At 17, I began my journey
as a veterinary assistant at a local clinic in Fort Collins.
Over time, I transitioned to shelter medicine, working as a veterinary technician at a large animal shelter in Denver. Caring for animals in need—those without a voice or a family—has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life. Currently, in addition to
working as a wedding pet attendant, I’m a full-time diagnostic veterinary sonographer, traveling to local clinics to help diagnose chronic health issues in pets. For those who don’t know,
sonographer is a fancy word for ultrasound technologist!

Here Comes the Floof was born after Doran and I got married in 2023. When we were planning our wedding, we realized there was no one available for wedding day pet care for our two giant dogs, Ruby and Zia. We wanted a small, intimate wedding where our guests could be fully involved in our day, especially after all the time and resources spent planning our destination mountain ceremony. With no one to be a dedicated wedding pet attendant, we ultimately had to leave our girls at home for our day. This is one of our biggest wedding regrets, and we decided to create a business that fulfills a HUGE need in the wedding industry!

Based in Northern Colorado, we proudly offer our services statewide, ensuring your dogs can be part of your big day, no matter where you’re located. Our mission is to eliminate the stress of coordinating pet care and seamlessly integrate your furry companions into your wedding day. With our help, your special day will be filled with tail wags, joyful moments, and lots of smiles.

Hi, my name is Sarah. I was born in Illinois but have been a Colorado resident for the past 32 years. I have a professional background in healthcare and am currently pursuing my MBA in Health Administration. I recently launched my photography business, Creative Grace Photography, where I focus on meaningful photo sessions, so clients have meaningful memories to last a lifetime. I have also been a volunteer for a local animal rescue, Up Pup and Away since 2021. I help with adoption and foster screening, reference checks, events, and ongoing database maintenance. I am incredibly passionate about the work we do. Outside of work, my greatest joy comes from my two dogs, Grace, my 11-year-old Border Collie/Retriever mix and soul dog, and Gus, my one-year-old Shepherd mix whose silly personality keeps life fun.

I am a lifelong dog lover with over a decade of dog sitting and pet care experience. I share my life with my fiance and our two goodest boys, Django and Ares, and understand firsthand that our pets aren’t just animals, they’re family! My calm, intuitive presence helps dogs feel safe and relaxed, even in the excitement and stimulation of a wedding day. When I'm not helping couples include their pups in one of the most meaningful moments of their lives, I work as a women’s health coach. I support clients in hormone health, nervous system regulation, and strength training. This work has deepened my ability to remain grounded, attentive, and emotionally attuned in high energy environments. I bring patience, warmth, and thoughtful care to every dog I work with, ensuring they feel comfortable and supported so couples can stay fully present and enjoy their celebration. Based in Colorado, I love spending time outdoors, moving my body, and adventuring with my own pups whenever possible!

Hello, I’m Chelsea. I’m originally from Hobbs, New Mexico and currently based in Albuquerque. I share my home with my husband and four beloved pets, each with their own personality, ranging from a Ragdoll cat to 3 dogs of different sizes and breeds. I discovered my passion for weddings while looking for a meaningful side gig alongside my full-time role with the State of New Mexico. My journey began in the wedding industry through bartending, where I gained hands-on experience and built strong relationships within the local wedding community. Through those connections, I was introduced to Here Comes the Floof—and it quickly became a role I truly love. With over five years of experience in the wedding industry and more than ten years in customer service, I take pride in providing calm, reliable care to  pets on one of the most important days in a couple’s life. I especially enjoy helping couples thoughtfully include their pets in their celebration, ensuring both the people and animals involved feel comfortable, supported, and can most importantly, have fun!

Hi, I’m Kim — a former veterinary technician turned professional dog trainer with a lifelong love for dogs. My experience in emergency veterinary medicine, training, and canine behavior has always been rooted in one thing: helping dogs feel safe, supported, and truly cared for. Wedding days are filled with excitement and emotion, and sometimes all of that energy can feel overwhelming for our pups. With a deep understanding of their needs and behavior, I’ll be there to ensure your dog stays calm, comfortable, and happy throughout your celebration — so you can be fully present in every moment. Having my own dogs by my side on my wedding day meant everything to me, and I would love for every dog owner to experience that same feeling on their special day — because they’re not just a pet, they’re family❤️
